Singapore Math Program
The Republic of Singapore consistently ranks at the top of the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a triennial test of 15 years-olds in dozens of countries, in the main three categories of maths, reading and science, including the first spot at the most recent assessment of 2023. Singaporean pupils are for example roughly three years ahead of their American peers in maths.
-
The main goal of Singapore Math Program is to guide students through different math problems by using Concrete Pictorial-Abstract Approach (CPA) for the sake of ensuring that students learn why math works, instead of simply how.
-
Students learn how to use physical objects for example blocks, counters, etc., visual models such as bar graphs and diagrams, as well as abstract techniques with numbers and symbols, in order to achieve mastery and deep understanding of math by using logical reasoning rather than pure memorization.
-
We offer a well-structured program for grades from 1 to 8 where all materials, including textbooks and workbooks, are provided to students at the beginning of the course.
